SWAN porter lives where the towering redwoods meet the sea, and her music holds a mirror to its unique terrain

Swan is an independent singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist recognized for her unique, dynamic vocal range and lyrical prowess. Her compositions blend elements of art pop, indie jazz, and alternative folk with a hauntingly pervasive atmosphere. With her passionate poetic flow and ethereal melodies Swan tells the tragic, yet beautiful stories of her personal life, intimate introspections, and collective reckoning of the human condition.

Primarily self-taught, Swan composes her arrangements on piano, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar. The piano, however, is where she feels most at home. Swan prefers it’s melodic and percussive nature, which she refers to coyly as the “Mother Of All Instruments”. Heavily inspired by songwriters of the 90’s like Fiona Apple and Jeff Buckley, Swan has committed to continuing the legacy of intentional, honest songwriting and passionate, raw performance.

Swan composes and produces the majority of her original music in the sanctity of her home studio, nestled modestly within the redwood mountains of Californias Central Coast.
